Keith Obbard
Keith Obbard is born & bred in Sussex. Growing up on a farm, his interests have always been in rural affairs and he spent 25 years running the successful Cherry Gardens Farm with his wife and family, the fourth generation to do so.
Keith has two grown-up children who were both educated in the local schools, and he now has his first grandson.
After a short spell as company secretary of the Kent & Sussex Machinery Ring, Keith is now working part-time at a local garden centre.
Councillor Obbard is a member of the Withyham Parish Council, and has stood for election to the District Council in the past. As Wealden Green Party election agent, he participated in the successful election of two District Councillors in Forest Row in 2007.
He is an active member of local organisations such as the Beekeepers Association, and the Transition group, working towards a more sustainable future.
As a County Councillor, Keith will encourage local government to become more responsive to local needs and global concerns.
