David moved to Forest Row from Leatherhead with his family in 1999, and became an active member of many community groups, including Ashdown Friends of the Earth, the Forest Row FairTrade Steering Committee and The Forest Row Association.

He is the Financial Director of Vegetarian Express Ltd, a food wholesaling company that distributes to contract caterers throughout the UK, and a Partner and Practice Manager of the natural health clinic Holden Natural Health in the village.

In May 2007 he was elected as a District Councillor representing Forest Row. Since joining Wealden District Council he has sat on the Planning Committee and Local Development Framework Sub Committee which is currently drafting planning policy and housing delivery strategy for the District for the next twenty years.

In his spare time David is a keen walker who explores the UK’s favourite recreational hiking areas during weeks away, and the Ashdown Forest with his family on Sunday afternoons.
